This weekend I had the occasion to read some articles featuring the weekly Torah (Bible) portion, and I chanced upon a friend's article that contained a quote of a well known Rabbi. As I read the quote, two facts hit me. First, this quote dovetailed perfectly with my previous article, and the second observation I will give you after you read the quote. I looked up the complete quote for my own curiosity, and I am including it exactly as printed. Please read it carefully, and then I will give you my comments and observations. The quote is:

This Too Shall Passover
By George:
www.Unmitigated-Truth.com
With just one short week left before the joyous Jewish Festival of Passover, my wife Miriam is heading into the home stretch with her usual frenzy. The house cleaning is mostly done, the shopping for food and incidentals for the Holiday are winding down, and she is starting to relax. We can almost see the traditional Passover Seder table beckoning us just a handful of days away.
I pick at my dinner of unavoidable leftovers, which have to be disposed of before the Passover Holiday. I smile as the events of last year's panicked Pre-Passover scenario flood my mind. The whole "disaster" is still vividly seared into my memory.

The American Plague of Frogs.
By: George
How do you cook a live frog?
I must confess up front that my familiarity with this subject is strictly hearsay because frogs are not Kosher, and being an Orthodox Jew I don't eat frogs, or torture living creatures. But I did read this on the Internet, so it must be true.
So how DO you cook a live frog? If you boiled up a pot of water and then dropped the frog into it, it would immediately jump out. Frogs don't have to be smart to do that, it is a reflex. They feel pain, they react and jump. Keep trying, and they keep jumping. So short of immobilizing them with a pair of tongs and manually dunking them into the boiling pot, how could you do it?

Are American Jews Blind, or Just Stupid?
By: George
Being an outspoken advocate of Conservative Political Principles, and since I proudly display my Orthodox Jewish roots, I often get asked "Why did the majority of American Jews STILL vote for Obama"? This happens to be an excellent question, considering the apparent diminishing support of Israel by the Obama administration, while openly embracing the Muslim Brotherhood. We have a deteriorating American economy, burgeoning governmental debt, renewed racial tensions, and emaciated foreign policy projection. The answer, however, involves an exploration of the various multifaceted segments of the Jewish population, and their disparate motivations for their choices.

2012 Israeli News You May Have Missed
By George:
I just read this story on "israel today" which headlines "Palestinian rioters march on Jewish vineyards". It struck me ironic that while the Jews struggle to improve their lives, their Arab neighbors find it more desirable to destroy what the Jews have done, rather than emulating their successes.
Then I remembered an article I read over the weekend that summarized the News from Israel in 2012, that you may have missed if you were reading the Main Street Media. It summarizes this news by month, and I figured that I will present this article to you with the addendum of some Muslim "accomplishments" for the same time period.

We, the People, are De-Voted
By George:
The article you will read below was written by me close to a year ago, but for whatever reasons, I didn't publish it. I am not egotistical enough to think that the election results would have been different had I published it, but it would have given me the satisfaction to know that I was able to predict the future. So read the story, and at the end I will inject the new reality into the mix.
- - - - - Start of Text - - - - -
Since this year of 2012 is a leap year, that means it is a presidential election year. All the talking heads are pontificating with self-perceived insight into the ultimate results of said election, but I can only listen and shake my head in disbelief. Don't they realize that all speculations may be moot? Someone has to stand up and scream "It doesn't matter who you vote for, because by the time you cast your vote, the winner may already be chosen".

To Mend a Broken Heart
By George:
While the events chronicled here are absolutely factual, the names of the doctors have been redacted for obvious reasons
The cold gloomy February day was mirroring my mood as I sat by the window trying to examine my innermost emotions. I was 44 years old and in top physical condition. I worked out at a gym regularly, and my doctor had just given me a clean bill of health. Yet I KNEW that there was something drastically wrong with me. I was positive of it, but I just couldn't convince either my wife or my physician.
I even tried to persuade myself that perhaps it was just my overactive imagination, but the more I tried to rationalize it away, the more my body kept compelling me to do something about it.
It all started the previous summer.

An Accomplished President
By George:
Once again I am passing along something that I came across in my travels through the Blogosphere. I cannot take credit for its content, but it is something that will either make you think, or make you stop thinking.
It is entitled:
President Barack Hussein Obama's Accomplishments.
First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.
First President to go on multiple "global apology" tours and concurrent "insult our friends" tours.
First President to bow to a foreign leader.
First President to refuse release of his college transcripts and Student Loan documentation.

A Poetic Plea
By George:
As you know, from time to time I publish content from emails I receive that I find amusing or has a message. This time I am sharing with you a poem that someone had posted as a comment on a story I read on CNSNews.com. This one is both amusing and has a message. Enjoy.
T'was the night before elections,
And all thru' the town,
Tempers were flaring
Emotions ran up and down.
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap,
Had shut off the TV,
Tired of political crap.

The Understanding Heart.
By George:
While the events chronicled here are absolutely factual, the names of the doctors have been redacted for obvious reasons
Monday, May 7th - I looked up from my work, glanced at my watch and realized that I had ten minutes to catch my usual train home from the hospital where I work. I quickly grabbed my stuff, put my computer to sleep, and bid my coworkers goodnight. Since the downhill walk to the train is about 8 minutes, I was not too concerned; still I didn't saunter along, but proceeded with alacrity.
Arriving at the train station I noticed that my heart was racing, and I was puzzled because I didn't think that I was walking that fast. The train arrived and I got on, figuring I just needed a little rest to get my heart back to normal. I sat by the window staring at the passing scenery, feeling the unusual staccato pounding unabated in my chest. I took my pulse and it was racing at 155 beats a minute. Having been a paramedic in my younger days, I had an idea of what was happening, but I was not ready to admit it to myself. When I got off the train some 50 minutes later, the manic drummer was still pounding its incessant beat.

Bordering on Insanity
By George:
http://www.unmitigated-truth.com/
One of the many controversies roiling the political scene today is the issue of Illegal Immigrants. I happen to be uniquely qualified to discuss this topic, because about 56 years ago, my parents and I entered these United States of America as immigrants from Hungary. It was during the Hungarian Revolution when we "escaped" from Hungary, and as "refugees", eventually settled in America. (The story of our odyssey probably warrants an article, or maybe even a book).
So against this backdrop, I will offer my opinion on this topic, and via logic, unearth the truth buried deep beneath the "male bovine excrement" of the Media.

Remembering the Munich Massacre
By George:
www.unmitigated-truth.com
This Sunday morning, as usual, I was listening to "Religion on the Line". When I turned the show on, they were conversing with Ankie Spitzer, who has dedicated her life to the memory of the horrific terrorist event of the Munich Massacre.
I realize that most young people today have never heard of the Munich Massacre, but that is probably why it is most important that event this come to light again. We have become so acclimated to acts of terrorism today, that the murder of a dozen people may not make much of a ripple on the news front. But 40 years ago, this was big news EVEN to people who were not Jewish.
A group of Palestinian murderers had gained entrance to the Israeli contingent at the 1972 Olympics being held in Munich. Before it was over, 11 Israeli athletes were murdered while the world looked on. Then after it was over, the world quickly forgot about it.
It is now 40 years later, and Ankie Spitzer, whose husband was one of the Jewish lives snuffed out by terrorism at this event, is trying to get the Olympic committee to devote a moment of silence during this year's olympic event. As you can probably imagine, they want nothing to do with it. But she will not give up.
Ankie has gotten signatures from the athletes who are now assembling for the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and she is trying to get signatures from all of US to present to the Olympic committee. We who care about victims of terrorism everywhere, we who want to keep the memory of the eleven murdered Israeli athletes alive, are requested to sign this petition.
You can go to their website established for this purpose and add your voice to the rising chorus. The chorus that declares to the world "We Will Remember, because we Care."

The Truth About the Obama Mystique (read as "Mistake")
By George:
www.Unmitigated-Truth.com
Although I have covered this topic more than a year ago in a lighter vein in an article entitled "The Play Must go on - NOT", I will this time, however, approach this subject with the severity that it deserves. I have given this issue a lot of thought, and I can't believe that this plain truth has eluded everyone else. Is it some form of cognitive dissonance, or are they just in a state of denial? I listen to talk radio, I watch political television shows, I peruse the pundit-sphere, yet everyone seems to be oblivious to the most obvious certainty: Barack Hussein Obama is NOT our President.
Wait, wait... Before you send for the men with the straightjackets, hear me out. Let me present the facts, follow and research my links, and then you can either categorize me as a whacko, or marvel at my mental acuity to see through facades.

The American Divorce Agreement
By George:
As you know by now, from time to time I will reprint something that I receive via email if I believe my readers will enjoy. The article below is one of those, so tell me if you like this idea proposed below....
Since we are not going to get gasoline back to $1.50 per gallon and coffee to $2.00 per pound maybe this would be a solution we could live with.
This is so incredibly well-put, I can hardly believe it's by a young person, a student!! Whatever he runs for, I'll vote for him!

Dé·jà Vu, All Over Again.
By George:
History repeats itself, and nowhere is this truer than with Jewish history. We cannot help but draw parallels between the historical story of Purim, and the events unfolding in the current day Middle East. The similarities are eerie.
The tiny country of Israel is once again facing an existential threat necessitating decisions that her very survival hinges on. One of her neighbors is on the verge of of procuring nuclear weapons, with the leaders of this country publicly salivating over the prospects of eliminating Israel and the Jews as soon as they have the means. The terrorists in Gaza are bombarding Israeli cities daily with rockets, that make life precarious for those within reach. And now, a "million" anti-Israel activist (promoted as The Global March on Jerusalem) are threatening to surround Israel from the immediate neighboring countries of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt, to march across the Israeli borders towards Jerusalem on March 30th, with the purpose of overwhelming the Israeli defense forces and "take over" Jerusalem.

Reboot
By George:
You, my readers, may have been wondering why I have been silent in these pages for a while now. I could answer that in one of two ways. I could spin you a tale of circumstances, coincidences and wonderment, or I could tell you the straight Truth.
Well, since this is The Unmitigated Truth, I cannot do anything but embrace verity. While my absence was precipitated by the demise of my computer, and then some international travel encroached on my availability, the honest answer is that I was lazy and I kept putting off the resumption of these posts. This phase is thankfully behind me, so with my new iPad in hand my new iMac at home, you can look forward to hearing from me regularly.
Though I haven't posted any articles lately, that doesn't mean that I have lain fallow. I have about a dozen articles started, and now I will finish them and present them to you for your edification. I am looking forward to your comments and feedback.

The Hypocrisy of Equivalence
By George:
During the recent joyful Jewish Holiday of Succoth (a.k.a. Feast of Tabernacles), my wife and I spent time with our family in Brooklyn, New York. I will not belabor the "Feast" part of the Holiday except to say that for now the operative word is "diet". But as a balance to the carnal overindulgence, we were spiritually buoyed by the uplifting services at the magnificent Young Israel Beth El Synagogue, highlighted by the vocal gymnastics of Cantor Miller and the Choir, and complemented by Rabbi Moshe Snow's highly inspiring and cerebral Sermons. And as I was submerged in one of his artfully imparted messages, I realized that I had to share those words with the readers of my blog.
I will not attempt to relay the Sermon verbatim, but I will paraphrase the gist of it, and then embellish it with sprinklings of my own commentary. Apologies to Rabbi Snow for any divergence from his intended statement..

The Secret Power of Herman Cain.
By George:
From time to time I like to sit back, relax, and try to take the "big picture" view of a topic, and analyze it with my impeccable logic. This time my Logic Alert was triggered by the "surprising" surge of Herman Cain.
I follow the political scene, but mostly I try to put myself in the shoes (not literally - ugh!) of the majority of Americans who might end up voting on Election Day. Having studied people throughout my life, I have come to the realization that the way people react to Political candidates has nothing to do with logic or the candidate's competency. It has everything to do with the voter's "indoctrination" and visceral reaction. Bear in mind that I will be referring to the General Public, not the cadre of Political Aficionados.

What a Mysterious Waste of a Truck.
By George:
When I first started this blog in September of 2010, I didn't want to start off with anything controversial, so I chose to do a story about a tractor trailer truck that I have been walking past for many months. The truck was almost brand new, parked next to an abandoned building, and has not moved for about 6 months when I wrote the article. If you don't know what I am referring to, read the article here before continuing.
As mentioned above, I wrote that article as a lark just to get my "feet wet" in the blogging business, and then continued with more important topics. But as the months progressed, I continued to trek past this selfsame truck, and questions percolated through my curious, and now suspicious mind. Why would someone park a truck worth about a quarter million dollars, keep it in running condition, yet not use it? So I started to do some inquiries.

I'm in a Seattle Frame of Mind.
By: George
Recently we had two new GRANDsons in the space of a few weeks, one was in Las Vegas, then the second in Seattle. I flew out to Vegas (no wife) for a 23 hour turnaround, and I wrote about that visit in my article The Eternal Covenant along with some pictures. Then a few weeks later my wife and I went to Seattle for a few days to celebrate the second grandson's circumcision. I started to write that one up too, but my daughter didn't want me to put it on the blog, so I didn't.
However, I will give you a cute little vignette from our Seattle visit. The last day we were there, we went for a walk downtown of the little town where they live. While my wife and daughter went into a shoe store, I hung around outside to soak up some rays. Right in front of the shoe store was a big beautiful shiny motorcycle, with the chrome polished to a showroom sheen. I called my 6 year old grandson over to look at it, figuring that he would enjoy it (the grandkids in Vegas and Israel go ga-ga for stuff like this).
He ambles over, gives the motorcycle a serious once-over and says "This thing produces more pollution than a car". After I recovered my voice, I asked him why he would say that. He pointed to the double chrome exhaust pipes and said "This has 2 exhaust pipes, but a car has only one". I smiled knowingly, and explained to him that it only seems that way to him because the 4 to 6 cylinders of a car are routed to one exhaust, while each of the 2 cylinders of the motorbike has its own exhaust pipe. He thought about that for a moment and declared, "What a waste of metal!" I had no answer for that.
So that's how they raise the kids in Seattle. (I did NOT paraphrase his words, but quoted him exactly).

The Eternal Covenant
By George:
(Published at www.unmitigated-truth.com)
I know that it's not in good taste to congratulate one's self, but in this case I would like to congratulate myself and my wife on the birth of a new grandson. The blessed event took place in Las Vegas, and since we of the Hebrew Faith take our Covenant with God seriously, all male children have a "Bris" (are circumcised) on the eight day after birth, as part of our side of the Covenant (assuming a healthy child, or as soon after as possible).

In Defense of Morality.
By George:
(Published at www.unmitigated-truth.com)
In a previous post I have discussed the moral implications of New York State's homosexual "marriage" law. I would like to expand on the topic as an extension of the previous post, but before we continue with the scrutiny regarding issues surrounding the justification of public homosexual lifestyles, we first have to set certain parameters.
As human beings, we live in societies that have to conform to certain rules and regulations in order to be able to function. Failing this, we fall into anarchy, which is outside of the purview of this analysis. These rules, or "laws", have to be established, monitored and enforced. So then the question is, who will create these societal laws and who will monitor and enforce them? Since there needs to be two distinct levels of laws, the answer is multifaceted.

Party On Dudes - But Why MUST it be Called a Marriage?
By George:
The topic of "gay" marriage has dominated the news cycle lately, especially in New York State, so I will offer my insights and opinions on this subject from my own Orthodox Jewish perspective.
So let's start by asking, why is it called a "gay" lifestyle? Let us call it what it is, and that is "homosexual" lifestyle. Oh, oh.. did I offend anyone? Am I being politically incorrect? If they were to now rename it "heroic" or "heavenly" lifestyle, it would still be simply "homosexual". To use a favorite Liberal saying from the past, "you can put lipstick on a pig, but it will still only be a pig". The cosmetic renaming of their chosen mode of behavior will not make it any more condonable as a "normal" societal standard.

The TRUTH as expressed by Abraham Lincoln.
By George:
Isn't it amazing how the TRUTH never goes out of date. This is just as true now, as it was when Honest Abe uttered it.

The TRUTH about Islam vs. Israel - Why Muslims will NEVER accept Israel.
By: George
Last week at work, my friend Alton, who is aware that I have studied the Middle East situation, asked me the following question. "George, do you think there ever will be peace between Israel and her neighbors?" Since this was a no-brainer, my immediate response was a resounding "NO". Then I explained to him, as follows, why this was the only possible answer.
The answer starts with the understanding of Islam, and by that I am talking about the Mainstream Islamic teachings, not just the extreme position. By the way, this will only be the "Cliff Notes" version of the Muslim - Israel history. To get a detail understanding, read The Middle East by Bernard Lewis
and Islamic Imperialism by Ephraim Karsh

I was NOT a Birther, but what the......
By George:
Not quite two months ago I wrote a tongue-in-cheek post about an email I was forwarding for your perusal about President Obama admitting that he was not born in America. I forwarded the email and video and was hoping to make you smile. Then I went back to more serious business.
Since that time, due to the prodding by Donald Trump, the White House decided to slap down all "birther" talk and released the Official Birth Certificate on the whitehouse.gov site. Great, I sighed, now we can discuss more important topics, because now we have the definitive proof that Obama was born in America. Brilliant logistical move on Obama's part.
At least that's what I thought at the time.

My Passover Travelogue
By George:
Tuesday, March 1
With the advent of the Passover Holidays, my wife and I decide to try to spend it with family in Israel. Of course the price of airline tickets at this peak season is at a premium, and since our budget mirrors a large segment of the American population, I have to find more reasonably priced airfare. Something that we could afford without printing more money or borrowing from the Chinese. (Oops - sorry, but I had to get that in.)
Tuesday, March 22
After an exhaustive search, I find affordable tickets to Israel on a Russian airline called Transaero, with one stopover for 13 hours in Moscow. I say to my wife, "Great, we have never seen the Kremlin, so here is our chance to do a little sightseeing on the way." Of course, knowing something about politics, I call the airline and ask whether a Visa is needed for a half day tour of Moscow, and I am assured that with an American Passport and only for a half day, a Visa is not needed. I book the flight. I email the itinerary to my daughter in Israel so she can arrange to pick us up.

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts.

The Budget - Quick Crummey Explanation
By George:
The US Government is currently going through the "Budget Battle" pitting the Republicans against the Democrats, with President Obama stirring the pot.
Lots of people have been offering explanations of the Billions and Trillions and Debt Ceilings etc.. Ordinary people listening to these explanations tend to glaze over and walk away without any better idea of what is happening.
Great news for all those who really want to understand what the heck is going on.
If you listened to todays's Joe Crummey Show on WABC, you got an explanation that brought it home to you. No big words, no grandiose Politi-speak, no obfuscation, just a simple family scenario. You can get the Podcast of this show at The Joe Crummey Show, Friday 4-8. However, there is no need for that, since I will give you Joe's explanation right here.

I am NOT a Birther, but....
By George:
As you know by now, from time to time I will share with you the contents of emails that I receive from various sources. This morning someone sent me an email that included a link to a Youtube video purporting to prove that President Obama was NOT born in the United States. The email then verbally pressured the recipient, in this case me, to immediately forward this email to everyone before this important video disappears from Youtube and we continue to be "ruled by an illegal alien".
Needless to say, I always "obey" any email that warns of dire consequences. So I am going one better, and I am passing this earth-shattering video on to the whole world (my readers span the whole globe). This secret will now finally be revealed. So please watch this video now, and we'll chat about it after you have been totally blown away by it.

The Play Must Go On --- NOT!
By George:
For the past 2 years I have been watching the activities and the demeanor of the Obama White House, and in particular the President himself. Throughout, I have been nagged by a feeling that there is something very familiar in what I was observing. Then one day as I was letting my subconscious sort my thought out, it finally hit me. Kindergarten.
Let me explain. When my children were young, I have had the privilege to attend presentations and plays that were performed by the children in school. Of course I realize that I am not the only parent who had children in school plays, so I know that most of you will be able to relate to this. The point is that if you have seen these plays, you will notice that there are multiple participants with inherently differing levels of roles.

The Un-Common People's Rebellion.
By: George
Observing the current events in the Middle East, I hate to say this, but "I told you so."
Wait - this is the Unmitigated Truth, so I can't lie. I have to admit that it gives me a fuzzy feeling inside to say "I told you so."
In my previous post on the subject I have pointed out that the Egyptian protests did not coalesce in a vacuum, and the whole of the Middle East is about to be embroiled. I called out the Muslim Brotherhood as the impetus to the unrest, and you have seen this fact borne out.

What direction do you want the Mid-East to take?
By: The Artist
I see many countries in the Middle East getting rid of the tyrannical despots who ruled their countries, but it leaves me concerned with what is next. I don't shed any tears for Hosni Mubarak, though he should get credit for keeping the peace with Israel for the last 30 years, and I have no problem with what happens to Col. Khaddafi, the murderous dirt-bag he is.

You Reap What You Sow!
By George:
The Middle East is in turmoil. Insidious forces are stirring the emotions of the built-in disenchanted populations. I have been waiting for the past few days to see if the vaunted American mainstream media will figure out what is happening and start reporting the Truth. Since it hasn't happened yet, I will jump in with a short analysis of the situation based on observation and logic. So let's start with naming the responsible party for the unrest.
This current instability in the Middle East was caused by the Liberal leaning electorate in America. What? You can't see the connection? All right, let me back up a bit. The cause of this instability is President Barack Hussein Obama who was elected by the fawning Left. You still don't see the connection? In that case, I'll have to start from the beginning.

Separation Anxiety.
By: Allure Graphics - Artist
A lot has been made of the ‘separation of church and state’, to the point when anything that hints at God cannot benefit from public funds. But this is NOT what the Bill of Rights
says – separation is never mentioned! The document itself says – “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” Simply put: A) no establishment such as the “Church of the USA” and B) no stopping people from worshipping who or what to worship. Otherwise there might be problems with American Idol! (Grin).
On a day to day basis people do not run into problems with this amendment. Except for over eager practitioners at airports, proselytizing is not an issue that people deal with. But for me, that changes once education enters the equation. I send my children to a private religious school for their education. This is a choice I made since I feel that the school they go to will better reflect the values that I am trying to instill in my children. A major issue I see is cost. Day schools are a little bit on the expensive side since none of the costs for these schools are subsidized by the state (or county or city) and I think this is patently unfair. I don’t think for a second that teaching of bible, holidays or customs should be paid for by the state the same way I wouldn’t want my tax dollars to be spent on confirmation lessons for Catholic Children. But Reading, Writing, Math, Science, civics and the like that should be the same across any denomination, should have subsidies from the government, based on the taxes that we pay. Say for example, the morning classes focus on Religious studies and the afternoon classes on ‘secular’ studies like math an literature. In such a set-up, morning studies should not and would not get any state funding, and the afternoon would benefit from state assistance.
So why is this not happening? I think that the ‘separation of church and state’ clause that isn't in the Bill of Rights, is making itself felt at this point. The need for separation means that no monies can go to an institution that ALSO teaches anything religious which places an unnecessary burden on those who want supplement their children’s education with the mores that are important to them. If the government wants to put oversight in place to make sure that religious studies are not paid for by tax dollars I don’t think anyone would complain.
The bill says ‘Freedom of religion
, not freedom from religion’….

Are We in Favor of Slavery?
By George:
You mention the word "Slavery" to a typical American, and the plight of the African/American Slaves in the pre-Civil War America comes to mind. If the discussion continues, it might even hinge on whether or not the African/Americans are still being discriminated against, yet all will agree that Slavery in America has been eliminated. And since the American public has been taught that America was the last vestige of mass Slavery, we will always talk about Slavery in the "past tense."
Would it then surprise you to find that Slavery is alive and thriving TODAY in certain parts of the world? Furthermore, would it surprise you to know that one of the predominant perpetrators of this practice is none other than the Arab Muslims against the mostly Christian, Non-Muslim population of South Sudan? Can the American mind wrap itself around the idea that even today there are women and children in parts of our globe who are captured into slavery (the men are murdered in the raids)? Are we just uninformed about this, or do we know and we just DON'T CARE.

Is it REALLY the End of America?
By George:
I have previously done an article on the Predictions of Porter Stansberry, gave you the link to his "video", and promised that I will give you my evaluation and assessment which would not necessarily be based strictly on financial considerations. I have asked for your comments, and though a large number of people visited the post, only a handful took the time to give us their insights.
But now it's my turn to give you a mind-dump of the topic under discussion, which is: "The End of America".

A Taste of TRUTH.
By George:
As you know by now, from time to time I publish the contents of emails that I get, if I deem them to have some redeeming value. The following is from an email that was forwarded to me about 3 months ago, and it has just surfaced as I was cleaning out my email queue.
It is a translation of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodriguez and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan. 15, 2008. It was then published by jnnnews.com, and now I shall share it with my readers.
ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ
By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez
http://www.jnnnews.com/article_rodrigez.htm
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz ... We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.

The Arizona Murders Politicized.
By George:
It wasn't until Saturday evening that I heard about the horrible shootings and murders in Arizona. I read the stories and watched the videos, and my reaction was both anger and sadness. Anger, to realize that such people still walk the streets of America, and sadness for the families who will have to face the future with loved ones now gone or injured.
After the initial shock wore off, my analytical mind took over. There were questions that were not answered by the media that I was referencing. The first question that popped into my mind was, "Why is Sheriff Clarence Dupnik making a political statement at a time like this?" We just witnessed brutal murders of six human beings and the wounding of numerous others, we are waiting for the forensic evaluation of the event, yet this Sheriff is spouting political ideology. Why? Why would he step out his expertise into a speculative rant that has nothing to do with the facts at hand?

Obamacare - Solution or Illusion?
By George:
Here we are at the brink of a new political season, and the GOP contingent has hit the ground running. The first order of business (after the reading of the Constitution), is the repeal of Obamacare.
Depending on which side of the political spectrum you call home, this is either the most noble endeavor, or it is a tragic waste of time. But whatever your position, the fact is that it is in play, and the effort to Repeal will soon be attempted. Now we all know that this reversal of President Obama's "cause célèbre" will not be accomplished with choruses of Kumbaya
from the Democrat Party.
Each side to this debate has their rally cry, and arguments. The Democrats and their supporters praise the bill as the greatest boon to mankind, and say that repealing it is fraught with dangers to humanity. The Republicans and their supporters, on the other hand, offer a plethora of reasons against the viability of this Healthcare Bill.
This article is not written to rehash the arguments of the two sides, nor will I pass judgement on the merits or the demerits of the Bill. What I will do is offer a solution that is logical, and its simplicity should overwhelm all opposition.

It's Raining Birds!
Suddenly since the turn of the year, there have been numerous stories in the media about thousands of birds dropping out of the skies, and thousands of fish washing up dead on shores all over the country. It caught the fancy of the media, both at home, and abroad.
As of this time, no definite cause has been determined, but that does not mean that people have not started to speculate on the origin of these localized extinctions. And speculations run rampant from the simple to the convoluted. Since these deaths happened around the New Year, some blame fireworks, while others theorize that the birds were "....probably asleep in a single tree when a washing machine-type thunderstorm sucked them up into the air, disoriented them, and even fatally soaked and chilled them."
Then of course there is always my favorite read, the Governmental Conspiracy. Now here is something that will keep me awake. Reading this article I learned about how the government is secretly testing something called "..Electromagnetic scalar weapons that can artificially manipulate the environment could be responsible for the mass die offs." Oh, oh.. This sounds really serious. Now I start searching for more data and find additional "facts" about these "scalar weapons". So now, how am I ever going to get ANY sleep?

The Dire Predictions of Porter Stansberry.
By George:
Let me first point out that this is NOT a sponsored link to an Infomercial. I did receive an email last week that was hawking an Investment Research firm (which I have since heard advertised even on radio), and I was intrigued enough to check out what they were trying to sell (I guess that would constitute a successful advertising). I listened to the presentation, I printed out the presentation so I could reread parts that piqued my interest, and then I logically analyzed what I learned.
After a few phone calls and emails, I have gotten permission from the Stansberry & Assoc. Investment Research firm to give you the link to their "video". Just click on this link to check it out. Be aware that this is a quite lengthy presentation, so make yourself a bucket of popcorn
, a tall glass of soda, and put your feet up. (If you would rather read than listen, just click to close the presentation, then on the next window click on "Stay on this Page", which will give you a readable copy.)
So you're asking, "If you are not getting paid for this, why would you give this company FREE advertisement?" And my answer to you would be, "Because this way I can give you my HONEST logical impression of their presentation. And I WILL do that.

America - My Country!
By George:
I had mentioned in a previous post, that I tend to get emails that are forwarded to me with the exhortation to pass it on. This was one I got recently, so I will pass it on to you for your expert opinions on the subject. I would like to give credit to the author, but alas I can't determine who it was. Perhaps one of you out there could enlighten us.
My great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Civil War, my father watched as his friends died in WW II, and I watched as my friends died in Vietnam.
They all died for the U.S. flag.
None of them died for the Mexican Flag.
In Texas, a student raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole; another student took it down. Guess who was expelled...the kid who took it down.
Kids in high school in California were sent home this year on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.
Enough is enough.

UNESCO - The Puppet of Islam.
Just when we thought that the UN couldn't be any more Anti-Semitic, they manage to prove us wrong.
In this case, I am referring to one of the arms of the UN called UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). More specifically, I am referring to their decision to issue a statement declaring that "... the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem are an integral part of the “occupied” Palestinian territories", and thereby they don't belong to the Jews.
You might surmise that any organization having the words "Educational", "Scientific" and "Cultural", would be careful about the content and veracity of its proclamations, and assure that Politics don't interfere with the Truth. But when it comes to Israel and the Jews, the UN stays true to form. Why let facts get in the way, when they can drive another stake into the Jewish heart of prevailing world opinion? Why bother to Scientifically Educate about the Culture that predates Islam, and was in fact its progenitor?

Obama's Wonderful Jackpot
By: George
In my opinion, it is high time that America had a real President once again. I long for the days when the occupant of the White House was a patriotic American, who shouldered the grandeur of the Office of the President with gravity, who understood that the American President bows for no man. I recall a time when winning the election for the Presidency of the United States of America was considered a privilege and a responsibility that humbled the victor. Instead, today we are "ruled" by a narcissistic egotist, who believes that he hit the big Jackpot, which entitles him to throw "his" new found riches around with abandon. He is mistaking the Presidency with the despotism of an absolute Monarch, albeit, a Monarch in training.
Has anybody taken a count of the number of days that President Obama has actually spent in the Oval Office since his inauguration? How many vacations has he taken, how many parties has he thrown, how many rounds of golf has he played, and how much taxpayer money has he squandered on his and Michelle's lavish lifestyle? How many times has the Ultimate Rock Star wannabe appeared on TV or radio, in fact, have there been any days since he assumed command when he was not on television, radio or magazine cover? How many people has he bowed down to?

TSA - Protection or Perversion?
By George:
If you have tried flying lately, you may have noticed a new phenomenon. Freedom, as we have known it in the past, has been replaced by "Big Brother" (or should that be "BIG Sister"), and enforced by the mostly unwitting personnel of the TSA (Trained Security Apes?).
I have previously spoken out on the topic of the TSA reaction to the terrorists, and I would like to continue in this vein.
It would be unfair to single out the individual employees of the TSA, except for the fact that these lowly denizens of the airports seem to have taken to their newfound "power-trip" with gusto. Yes, I know that it is their "job" and the are only "following orders", but that job can be done with either humility, or arrogance. It can be done in a demeaning way, or it can be done discreetly. It can be done in a way that they would want it done to their own children and spouses, or it can be done with the joyous zeal of a pedophile.

Get off the Taxpayers' Backs!!!
By: George
You may have missed this little article in a current Wall Street Journal article. I read it and I saw Red. Please take a look at my back to see if anyone posted a note there that trumpets "I am a Sucker! Bleed me Dry!"
The article is referring to a commission that was appointed by our Spendthrift-in-Chief, to investigate and offer proposals on how to close the 1.3 trillion dollar gap in the Federal budget.
Now before you link to the article, try to guess who is in the crosshair of this austerity shotgun? If your guess was "needless spending by the government," guess again. I'll give you a hint. It's you and me - again!
Now I don't know about you, but I feel that the taxpayers have been carrying the "freeloaders of our society" on our shoulders long enough (I am not referring to the genuinely needy, so don't get on my case), and it's high time our legislators looked elsewhere for a panacea.
Instead of eliminating our Income Tax deductions, they should be eliminating the Income Tax itself.
Instead of eliminating our Income Tax deductions, eliminate the myriads of Social Programs in place that have either failed miserably, or are not necessary, but are still suckling at our financial lifeblood. Eliminate the "pork" in all the bills that are passed daily by our legislators. Eliminate all those billions of taxpayer dollars that are constantly being shoveled to our friends and enemies alike as Foreign-Aid. Eliminate the thousands of needless and/or useless Government workers who could be replaced by a few Chia Pets without anyone noticing.
I am sure that each and every one of you out there could contribute countless other examples of "savings". Please feel free to add your own ideas in the comments.
But as for me, I have to go and do some deep breathing exercises and try to calm down.
